Why soft TPU does not belong in a standard AMS
The standard AMS and AMS Lite route filament through bends and joints that soft TPU (around 90A and below) cannot handle. The filament buckles in the path and jams. Firmer TPU 95A is more likely to run through the AMS 2 Pro with its straighter path. When in doubt, load a flexible material directly into the printer rear inlet.
Cardboard spools and abrasive materials
Paper (cardboard) spools shed dust in the AMS that works its way into the mechanism. Taping the edges or rewinding onto a plastic spool helps. Carbon or glass filled materials will feed, but they wear down the nozzle and guides, so plan for a hardened nozzle and faster wear.
